Well, as the beginning of the challenge nears I find myself in an awkward situation. Am I going to be ready to start? Am I actually going to be able to complete this challenge? The challenge starts on Saturday…Winter starts on Saturday…I’ve challenged myself to 5km every day for June.
And so the story rolls around inside my head. And that is all it is, a story.
Challenging yourself is all about mindset, and a little determination. I know I can do this. I know I will do this. And I will come to the end of June with 150km under my belt.
When you have the right mindset, and you will know when that is, you can achieve anything. I am hoping through this Move Your Butt challenge I will inspire one person to move their butt to combat disease.
As a cancer patient one of my nurses drilled into me to get outside and do something every single day. Not easy when you feel like crap and want to curl up on the couch, but that 2 minute walk to the letter box or that 5 minute stroll down the street did wonders for both my mental and physical health.
I look forward to sharing with you over the month of June how I am progressing with my challenge, inspiring you to move your butt and live a more healthy prosperous life.
Move your Butt!
