Alan’s transition from bowel cancer sufferer to cancer survivor wasn’t just due to the skilled surgery from Dr Ansell but also to the fabulous service from his Oncology team at Tauranga Hospital and the Kathleen Kilgour Centre. He also could never have made it through without the enduring support and encouragement of his wife Ali who was ‘an absolute brick through it all’.
